A Massachusetts native with a longstanding devotion to pediatric care, Dr. Reed earned her Doctor of Optometry degree with a concentration in pediatric optometry from the New England College of Optometry in Boston, MA where she subsequently completed her residency in pediatric optometry. In residency, she trained at several hospitals and health centers in the Boston area including Boston Children’s Hospital, Tufts Medical Center, Boston Medical Center, and the Perkins School for the Blind. She also served as a teaching assistant for several pediatric didactic and laboratory courses and led optometry students on Boston school vision screenings. She subsequently moved to the Bay Area to practice.
Pediatric optometry melds her passion for longitudinal care, child development, and the visual system. Dr. Reed loves following her patients through development, and she especially enjoys working with children with disabilities. Her practice reflects her clinical interest in strabismus, amblyopia, myopia control, and binocular vision (eye teaming, focusing, and tracking) disorders. She happily offers all modalities of myopia control, specialty pediatric contact lenses, and non-verbal eye examinations to infants and children of all ages.
Through Growing Eyes Pediatric Optometry, she offers individualized, engaging vision therapy programs that help her young patients maximize their visual potential and quality of life. Contact us to learn more!
